Mark Driscoll on Newfrontiers and Prophecy

If you are a blogging junkie in the Christian world (especially if you are in Newfrontiers or a reformed-charismatic), you have probably of heard of Adrian Warnock. His blog gets about 30,000 hits a day in the US alone. Adrian is not a pastor, but is a part of a Newfrontiers church in London named Jubilee Church (great name). I like tunning into his blog because he gets good interviews with some great people including our own John Lanferman.

Recently, he interviewed Mark Driscoll to get his thoughts on Newfrontiers and Prophesy. I thought I would pass that along. To view this interview, click here.

Week of Prayer Recap

I just wanted to thank everyone who came out for the week of prayer. It would not have been the same without you. We had a great time of encountering God's presence and petitioning that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

These quarterly prayer events are very important to our church. I want to encourage you to make these time special on your calendar as well, particularly the Friday Night Prayer and Celebration. Here are the prayer dates for the rest of the year:

- July 28 - August 1
- September 29 - October 3

**On September 13 & 14 (a Saturday and Sunday night), we will have our annual "Acts 13" meetings, which are incredible times of prayer, praise and prophecy. This is such a huge event that we will be flying in two prophetically gifted men over from the UK (Julian Adams and Jeremy Simpkins)

Very Excited!!

This morning I had the privilege of getting a taste of Jubilee's Acts 13 meetings happening tonight (9/27) and tomorrow night (9/28) as Sam Poe and Keith Hazel joined our Midwest Pastor's Prayer time. For anyone who is skeptical of the gift of prophecy, I challenge you to come check out these meetings. I was absolutely floored by the goodness of God. That he loves his church so much to give us such a gift (Ephesians 4:11-13). God used these men (and others) to speak words of encouragement, strength and comfort. I expect the same tonight and tomorrow as we gather together.

Importance of Prophecy

I've been looking forward to our upcoming Acts 13 Meetings since the spring when we scheduled them. And if I was lacking at all in enthusiasm, Rick Hein's talk on prophecy last Tuesday sealed the deal. If you weren't here, following this link to listen to it.
